Chief Operating Officer
Alex founded KeyDrive as Key-Systems GmbH in 1998, whilst studying physics and computer science at the Saarland University in Germany, and led the company from an academic sideline to a global player in the domain business. Alex was responsible for the corporate and operational strategy of KeyDrive and oversaw the organic and acquisitive growth of the company over 20 years.
Gavin joined CentralNic in 2001, and served as Chief Technology Officer (having responsibility for CentralNic’s Registry Engine) from 2005. He became the Group’s Chief Innovation Officer in 2019. Gavin is a highly respected figure in the domain industry and has been published in several professional technical journals and as well as participating in a number of technical public policy and advocacy groups.
Group Commercial Director
Stuart Fuller, a highly experienced domain services professional, joined the company after eleven years at domain name retailing, corporate domain name management and brand protection firm NetNames (formerly Group NBT) where he was responsible for commercial operations for the group. His earlier career was in the telco industry, with Cable and Wireless and other leading companies. Stuart has significant experience at both the policy and operational level.
Group Marketing Director
Andy manages marketing and communications strategy for the CentralNic group of companies. With a wealth of knowledge and experience in the domain name industry, Andy previously held senior roles in product and marketing roles at Famous Four Media (a global registry management company with over 5 million names under management) and NetNames (formerly Group NBT, a well-known international registrar). Andy launched a number of the top performing new gTLD registries. In product roles, he has developed online brand protection, registrar and registry systems. Andy also has significant experience managing the marketing operations for domain registries. Andy holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, a Master’s Degree in Business Administration, is a Chartered IT Professional and a Chartered Engineer.
Volker held both Chief Legal Officer and General Counsel positions at Key-Systems GmbH (a member of KeyDrive S.A. Group) since 2008. Prior to KeyDrive, he was involved at ICANN in the Registry Stakeholders Group from 2011 to 2012 and the GNSO Council where he served as Vice-Chair for four years. He is also a Non-Executive Director and Nominations Committee member at Nominet UK, the official registry of UK domain names.
Executive Development Director
Sarah was formerly Director of International M&A for LexisNexis and Thomson Financial. In these roles, she led transaction due diligence and structured complex deal terms globally, including deals in the Middle East, Russia, China, India, South Africa and Europe. Sarah began her career at Merrill Lynch in Mergers & Acquisitions, where she advised companies in a myriad of sectors on strategic alternatives, and in Equity Capital Markets, where she marketed, priced and allocated IPOs, secondaries and convertible bond offerings. She has also consulted to a number organizations for due diligence, M&A and strategy projects. Sarah has an MBA in Finance, with honors, from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a BA in Economics from Duke University.
Chief Policy Officer
Raedene has been practicing law over 20 years having been called to the English Bar in 1995. She has responsibility for all aspects of advising its registry operator clients as well as monitoring the ICANN Policy developments both remotely and by attending all ICANN meetings globally. She provides full policy assistance for CentralNic clients including drafting of Registry Policies, Registry Registrar Agreements, re-negotiation of Registry Agreements with ICANN, and renewals of Sponsorship Agreements with ICANN. Raedene spent 16 years working with the Lao PDR government in relation to cc TLD .LA as an appointed Legal Advisor to the Prime Minister’s Office. Recently she has been consulting on a project for the drafting regulations and policies for a Middle Eastern ccTLD Telecommunication Regulatory Authority assisting with new Ministerial Resolutions, providing comparative ccTLD studies on the GCC States, and creating a full set of policies for a ccTLD and IDN. With other ccTLD operators, Raedene has assisted with Fast Track IDN applications, new ccTLD assignments and delegations, and ICANN MOUs. Raedene was also admitted to the State Bar of California in 1999 and remains licensed in the State of California. Raedene has an LLB (hons) from University of London and a BA from Claremont McKenna College, CA in International Management and European Civilisation.
